Chemgiene announce new range of high-spec PTFE hoses
Specialist hose manufacturer FlexRite Chemgiene have announce a new range of PTFE hoses called FluroFlow™. The range, which will be of particular interest to specifiers in chemical, pharmaceutical and associated industries, consists of convoluted hose assemblies with nominal bores up to 6 inches, available with either virgin white PTFE or anti static black PTFE liners and a variety of stainless steel overbraids.
Further product options include additional outer covers, and smooth bore hose assemblies with nominal bores up to 2 inches. These can be specified when a convoluted inner bore might cause hold ups of product in the convolutions.
Designed for corrosion resistance, the fluoropolymer lining of these products provides outstanding chemical resistance to a wide range of chemicals. PTFE hoses can handle extreme pressures and temperatures, even under continuous flexing, and the end-user applications are endless. Because no colour, odour or taste is released during transfer, they have been FDA approved for food contact.
The new hoses will be produced at a new assembly manufacturing centre at Littleborough, Greater Manchester, at which the company say that a considerable investment has been made in specialised new facilities.
