Flexible hose experts merge

The UK's two most experienced suppliers of flexible hose assemblies have merged. CRP Flex-Rite Ltd and Chemgiene Ltd will trade as FlexRite Chemgiene and a new company, FlexRite Chemgiene Ltd, will be created following the merger, in early 2005.

FlexRite Chemgiene will offer complete hose management services, including testing, surveys, and a new concept in RFID hose tagging. Hygienic hose, industrial and chemical hose, and washdown equipment, form the main product group offerings.

"Bringing together two suppliers with expertise of hygienic, chemical transfer and industrial hose assemblies will enable us to provide an improved service throughout the UK and a better product range", says director of FlexRite Chemgiene and CRP Corrosion Resistant Products, John Quilter. "Our value-added offerings will help customers cut costs, avoid breakdowns and loss of production thanks to unique aspects of the service, such as record keeping, colour-coding and RFID, and CRP's experience with PTFE Lined Products will enable us to significantly improve our PTFE lined hose offering to the Pharmaceutical and Chemical Industries."
